Terms of Use
Last updated: 16 September 2026
These terms cover your use of Business Card Maker (“the app”) and of the services we provide through it. They are between you and the developer of the app (“we”, “us”). By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the app.
Your licence to use the app is Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement. It is available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula and governs how the app may be installed and used. These Terms of Use sit alongside it and cover subscriptions, acceptable use, your content and our support. Where the two differ on the licence itself, Apple's agreement applies.
1. Licence to use the app
The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement, together with the App Store's Usage Rules. That agreement sets out what you may and may not do with the app, including the restrictions on copying, redistributing and reverse engineering it.
2. Your content
Cards you scan, details you enter and designs you create are yours. We claim no ownership of them and, as described in our Privacy Policy, we never receive them.
You are responsible for having the right to use the content you put into the app — including logos, images, fonts and other people's contact details — and for handling anyone else's information lawfully, including under data protection law where it applies to you.
3. Acceptable use
Do not use Business Card Maker to impersonate a person or organisation, to create cards or credentials that misrepresent who you are or who you work for, or for any unlawful purpose. Do not use the scanning feature to collect contact details you have no right to collect.
4. Subscriptions
Business Card Maker is free to download and includes a free tier. Business Card Maker Pro is an auto-renewing subscription that unlocks unlimited scans, all templates, exports without a watermark, print-ready files, iCloud sync across your devices, and adding your own elements to a card.
The free tier lets you scan a limited number of cards each month, use the free templates, and save as many card designs as you like; exports made without a subscription carry a small watermark.
| Plan | Length | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Business Card Maker Pro — Weekly | 1 week | USD $3.99 |
| Business Card Maker Pro — Yearly | 1 year | USD $24.99 |
Prices are in US dollars and may differ in your region; the exact price in your currency is always shown in the app before you confirm.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period, at the price of the plan you selected.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple Account settings after purchase, or from Settings › Manage subscription in the app.
- Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Pro until the end of the period you already paid for; partial periods are not refunded.
- Any unused portion of a free trial, where one is offered, is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Purchases are processed by Apple. Refunds are handled by Apple under the App Store terms — request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
5. Maintenance and support
We provide support and maintenance for Business Card Maker. Contact us at appqueries.desk@yahoo.com.
6. Accuracy and warranty
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the app is provided “as is” and without warranties of any kind, beyond those set out in Apple's Standard End User Licence Agreement and any warranty you have by law that cannot be excluded.
Card recognition is automated and will not always be accurate. Always check the details on the review screen before saving or printing. You are responsible for proofreading anything you send to a printer.
7. Intellectual property
The app, its templates and its design are protected by intellectual property law. Cards you produce with the app are yours to use, including commercially.
8. Legal compliance
You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data or profit, arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
10. Third-party terms
You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app — for example, your wireless data plan's terms.
11. Changes
We may update these terms as the app changes. The current version is always posted here with its date. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
